How to use Merge PDF

  • All input files keep their original resolution and embedded fonts; there is no re-encoding, so the merged PDF's size is roughly the sum of the input sizes.
  • If one of the source PDFs is password-protected, remove the password before merging — encrypted files cannot be read by the browser.
  • For very large jobs (a hundred files or several gigabytes), close other browser tabs first so the PDF merger has enough memory to work with.

There is no hard limit. Very large PDFs (1GB+) may be slow because the browser has to load them into memory, but it works.

Yes — once you add files, use the up/down arrows to reorder them. The merged PDF respects the order shown.

Will bookmarks, links, or form fields survive the merge?

Page content, internal links inside a single source PDF, and embedded images are preserved. Top-level outlines/bookmarks and AcroForm fields are flattened — if you need them retained, use a desktop tool like Acrobat Pro after merging.

Can I merge PDFs of different page sizes (A4 + Letter + A3)?

Yes. Each page keeps its original size in the merged file; readers will simply display them at their native dimensions one after another.

Is there a way to merge only specific pages from each PDF?

Not in this tool — Merge takes whole files. To pull specific pages, first use Split PDF to isolate the ranges you want, then merge the resulting smaller PDFs.
